Tips for climbing Mount Fuji

1. Remember to carry your trash back down the mountain and refrain from littering or relieving yourself indiscriminately.

2. Take precautions against altitude sickness and ensure quality sleep during your climb.

3. Rest well and prepare your body in the three days leading up to the climb.

4. Carry a water bottle with a capacity of 600ml. You can refill it at rest areas along the mountain (charges may apply).

5. The temperature on the mountain is around 18 degrees Celsius in the morning and 6 degrees Celsius at night, so be sure to bring warm clothing.

6. Due to limited water sources on the mountain, restroom facilities require a fee (200-300 Japanese yen). Please prepare the exact change.

7. In case of inclement weather, the ascent to the summit may be canceled based on the decision of the local mountain hut managers and according to local regulations. Refunds cannot be provided if the climb cannot be completed. Your understanding is appreciated.

8. If you feel unwell, please refrain from participating in the climb. Refunds will not be provided in such cases.

 1) What is the difficulty level for beginners to climb Mount Fuji?

Mount Fuji has well-established facilities and mountain huts, making it suitable for beginner hikers. However, due to the higher altitude and unpredictable weather conditions on Mount Fuji, it is recommended to train and prepare adequately with proper equipment before the trip, preferably 1-2 months in advance.

2) Are there Mount Fuji climbing tours starting from Tokyo?

Yes, we do have Mount Fuji climbing tours starting from Tokyo. However, if you prefer to arrange your own itinerary, we also offer a two-day, one-night Mount Fuji climbing package from Tokyo

3) Do I need to apply for a permit to climb Mount Fuji?

No, a permit is not required. However, it is important to ensure that you have made prior reservations for mountain huts to secure accommodation during your climb.

 

 

Registration Instructions:

1) Please provide complete information and a deposit of 20,000 NTD when registering for the Mount Fuji climbing tour. Registration implies acceptance of the standardized contract for overseas travel. If you cancel within one month before departure, the deposit will not be refunded, and necessary cancellation fees for overseas travel may apply. For other detailed regulations, please refer to the standardized contract for overseas travel.

2) Due to factors such as flight schedules, hotel bookings, weather conditions, peak seasons, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, it may be necessary to adjust the itinerary, modify sightseeing locations, accommodations, and meals in order to ensure a smooth travel experience. (Obtaining flight slots for Taiwan is slower and can only book hotels when the slots are secured, which is usually about 2 months in advance. In contrast, Japanese travelers have already completed their registrations and reserved hotels half a year in advance. Taiwanese registrations are slower than Japan's. In peak travel seasons, if the listed hotels are fully booked, alternative hotels will be arranged. We seek your understanding regarding these necessary adjustments. The correct flight times, hotels, or itinerary changes, if any, will be based on the information provided prior to departure.

3) Hotel bookings and meals are made according to the listed options. In some cases, if there is full occupancy or better alternatives available, hotels of the same class may be substituted, and meal arrangements may be modified based on hotel availability, flight schedules, and the itinerary. However, the standard of meals will remain the same. Regarding the listed sightseeing locations, adjustments may be made or alternative attractions may be included in the itinerary if any venues are closed or to accommodate flight timings.

Travel Information:

1. Tourists holding a Republic of China (ROC) passport can enter Japan for tourism purposes without a visa. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure.

2. The duration of stay should not exceed 90 days.

3. To avoid any issues on the day of departure, please double-check and confirm the validity of your passport.

4. According to international conventions, passports should have a validity of at least six months to enter other countries.

5. Military personnel must have two stamps on their passport: "Approval for Travel" and "Approved for travel before [date] No. [number]."

6. Conscription men must have two stamps on their passport: "Approval for Travel for Those Who Have Not Yet Performed Military Service" and "Approval for Travel before [date] by [county/city] Public Office."

7. Young men nearing conscription age must have a stamp indicating "Not Yet Performed Military Service" on their passport.

8. Dual citizens must use the same passport to enter and exit the Republic of China.

9. "Conscription men" refers to those aged 18 and above but have not yet performed military service, and "young men nearing conscription age" refers to those aged 16 to 18.

10. Travelers entering Japan are required to provide fingerprints and have their facial photo taken by immigration officers. Failure to cooperate will result in denial of entry. 11. Since June 1, 2008, all passengers (including those in the backseat) are required by Japanese traffic regulations to wear seat belts for safety reasons.
