Xueshan Mountain Peak is the ridge that branches off from the main peak of Xueshan Mountain to the east, and it is also the mountain that must pass to the main peak of Xueshan Mountain. Xueshan Mountain is about 5k away from the mountain entrance, and the main peak of Xueshan is at 10.9k. Compared with the more difficult main peak of the Snow Mountain, it is a very friendly route to only go to the Snow Mountain Peak. The first part of the trail is in the alpine forest, surrounded by coniferous forests such as hemlock and fir. Viewing platform, crying slope, ridge line and then reaching the snow east triangle point, the scenery changes with the height, which is very interesting!

Most of the way to Xueshan Mountain is uphill. It is normal to be very short of breath. Especially at higher altitudes, the air is thin. When you breathe, breathe deeper (into your abdomen), breathe through your nose, and walk slowly to adjust your speed. Trekking poles reduce the burden on the thighs and minimize the weight of the backpack. Basically, people who are usually exercising can still complete it. Animals, Plants and Ecology of Snow Mountain:

In Wuling Farm, there is a Taoshan Waterfall scenic spot in the direction of Wuling Mountain Villa, which is a good place to take a walk. It is named after the waterfall is located below the ridgeline of Taoshan. The height of the waterfall varies by 80 meters. In summer, due to the abundant rainfall, the waterfall will be very spectacular. The trail to the waterfall, walking under the shade of the trees, is very comfortable. After passing the Qika Villa, the trail begins to become steeper and continues to climb uphill. After exiting the forest, the view will become wider. Soon you will come to the famous "Crying Slope". You can take a rest at the observation deck before climbing the Wailing Slope. Have walked about 4 kilometers. The viewing platform has been removed and the remaining tables and chairs, but you can still sit here and look at the mountains in the distance.

 

04:30 Wailing Slope

Arriving at the starting point of Wailing Slope, the Wailing Slope is a section of about 400 meters. It climbs 300 meters. Although it feels scary, it is not as difficult as you imagined. You will reach the triangle point soon after the end of the Wailing Slope. The landscape on the top of Waipo is an arrow bamboo forest, with a good view. 05:10 Watching the sunrise from Xueshan Mountain

To watch the sunrise on Mount Xueshan, you have to start from the mountain entrance in the early morning. You need to walk at night with your headlamp on. If you can’t get up, you can choose to walk slowly. You can also watch it on the Wailing Slope or on the viewing platform. To the beautiful sunrise, friends who are not familiar with walking at night can watch the sunrise at the mountain entrance before setting off! The snow east triangle point is about five kilometers away from the mountaineering entrance. The triangle point has a very good outlook. You can overlook the mountains in the distance, Wuling Sixiu, Nanhu Central Point, Hehuan Peaks and other high mountains. If the weather is good, you can also see Guishan Island, here Watching the sunrise is a great experience!

Xueshan Mountain, with an altitude of 3,201 meters, has an excellent view from the top, opposite to Pintian Mountain, Central Mountain Range, the main peak of Xueshan Mountain and Zhijiayang Mountain.
