Jiufen Ershan is located at the intersection of Guoxing and Zhongliao townships in Nantou County. It is the divide between two tributaries of the Nangang River, the Jiucailake Creek and the Pinglin Creek, and is one of Taiwan's Little Hundred Peaks. The nearby Subaki-keng was the site of the 921 earthquake bombings, and there was a major landslide at the foot of Mount Kandou, causing serious collapse and landslides，The Leaning House is the most obvious evidence of this disaster.
